Perspectives on Berlin

March 13th 2019

"If you come to Berlin in ten years’ time, the city will have five million inhabitants and a housing stock that has increased by 100,000 units. A rental apartment will cost an average of 16 euros per square metre, but will still be cheaper than in Munich. Autonomous trains will pull into Hauptbahnhof Central Station, while the number of cars will have halved, and people use artificial intelligence to plan their lives and organise things, rendering tech companies like Google and Facebook obsolete.

Half of the office space in the city will be co-working space and the new ‘co-living-working’ concept will be well established: two million Berliners will either work at home or live at work, which will have a positive effect on demand pressure on the housing market."
